It's interesting how everyone kept knocking the analogies given, comparing it to watching a baseball or the outfield while hitting. The problem with that comparison is that the baseball is moving toward you, not sitting in the exact same place as you left it. A good putting stroke should bring the putter head back to the exact place you left it, and more importantly, the ball. I have dabbled with this technique a little bit myself. It helps long AND shoe putts because it keeps you from raising your head early to watch for the ball's path. I think his is the main reason it helps most golfers.

Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same.


Well youre not always aiming at the hole. And looking up at your targert most likley opens up your shoulders, as well.
