If you were going to attend a PGA event what's the difference between grounds tickets and gallery tickets? Do you need/want both?

Ground tix is what everyone get by default....it means that you can walk to the grounds, watch the match from the ropes, and basically follow the golfer from hole to hole.

Gallery tix, mean that you actually get a seat in an specific gallery ie at the 18th hole.

I went to the QGC CA Championship at Doral this year and had group tix. I basically followed Vijay and Camilo Villegas from green to green!

My, then 6 month daughter, waived on her own accord to Camilo as he was passing by on the 18th, and after the round gave her an autographed ball (my avatar).

The benefit of the gallery, is that you have a great vantage point to hole you are buying, and during the hottest hours of the day, you will like to have a shaded place to sit and still catch live action.
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

    • Whoops! Yep. That’s what I get for posting first thing in the morning. Anyways, Day 82: did my drill swings outside with foam balls for a solid 15 minutes. Still need hands down before turning.
    • Caddies who wear shorts in obviously cold weather are just as stupid as football players who wear short sleeves in Lambeau in January. Nobody thinks your tough. We just think you're a moron
    • I don’t have much time to practice beyond indoor putting, which I do most days.  Lately, I have been trying a variety of methods against my normal claw grip (which I changed to in 2016, or so, after developing the yips).    - Utley method - soft elbows that starts back with right elbow sliding and then uses gravity to let putter head drop and left elbow slides along left side. Great accuracy and start line, but distance control varies. - Stockton method - start with putter a little more vertical. First move back is forward press and then draw club head back. Maintain wrist angle and drive back of left hand towards target. Likely need more loft on my putter, but this has been very accurate and great distance control. Works well, for me, with both claw and index fingers pointing down the shaft.
    • I think you are posting in the wrong 🧵! And you are, as well @coachjimsc!
