If your a freak (like me) who finds yourself obsessed with golf, you might find yourself with a club in your hand a lot of the time when inside of the house.

You've got problems....welcome to the club

As far as grip goes, I use an interlocking grip and did hold the grip in my upper fingers but have been working on getting "less hand" on the club. Watch most pro's and it looks like they barely hold the club with their right hand (righties). I'm more comfortable with the new grip with my irons but it's messed up my driving.

muskegman - how are you getting on with the new grip?

I myself did a bit of an analysis of my grip, and it turned out mine was far too weak. I could only see one knuckle of the left hand - if I was lucky..!!! So strengthened it a bit and that seems to be paying off.

Feels a little strange, but I'm sticking with it as I know I'll reap the rewards.

There is no "Proper" grip, its how it suits u there are different ways, i worked as a pro for 2 years and learned not matter how many ways u come up with sum1 else will have a different grip, i play off +4 and i use a baseball grip!

muskegman - how are you getting on with the new grip?

Sorry, missed this one for a few days.

The new grip has become quite comfortable and feels natural. I wasn't sure if I was going to get it for a few days. Following my trip to PA my grip and swing have changed quite a bit. I'm searching for the middle of the fairway these days and couldn't hit the right side of the fairway if I tried. I think my next project is getting weight transfer where it should be as I've become captain hook. I think the trouble lies in the fact that I'm not getting over to my left side on the follow-through. Now that I have a more solid swing I can swing through freely without worrying about slicing so much. Who knows.

Thank You,

I think the same,
My Pro (PGA) he start to be Pro with hcp -4,4 think it is
b
c
but I think he is wrong
This year my grip went to Hell, went to the pro to get help and he started to laugh at my swing. With a bad grip you make some wierd adjustments and the longer you play the worse it gets. I was playing everyday and made no time to work on my game and made adjustments on the course to get through the round.
My grip was so weak I started closing my front foot big time ,my shoulders were pointing way way left then I'd pull the ball 10-15yds left and landing in the right side of the fairway or rough it was ugly. when he put me on the monitor my side spin was 3600 +. He got my grip back where it belonged, squared my shoulders back up, open my front foot and told me to work on that and not try to make my bad adjustments, took about three days to get back to normal and I feel better now. Oh, I even bought some new Irons while I was going through this, It had to be the clubs. I had to scramble on almost every hole but my putting and chipping was very good keeping my scores in the high 70's low 80's.
