Did anyone happen to catch the celebrity golf tournament this weekend? I don't remember which one it was, but Charles was playing, and they had a short interview with him before he teed off.

I really felt for the guy, because he's trying to play this game that he clearly loves, but he has this mental block that he just can't fix - i.e. his swing. They showed him on the range, and he was fine, but when he gets to the course his head just doesn't let him play.

The interviewer asked him if he was still having fun, and he said he was absolutely not having fun anymore. He also said that started next week he was going to be playing left-handed. He then went and teed off one-handed. The ball just sort of skidded along the ground.

And even though he's not having fun, and it must be embarrassing for him to go out there and play like he is, he's still attending charity tournaments to try and help out.

Good guy, that Charles.

He is a good guy, especially for playing charity events where people will make fun of him. My thoughts are still that he needs a mental coach (lobotomy perhaps) not a swing doctor. Maybe Dr. Bob will take a crack at fixing him.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Yeah, his problem really is 100% mental. Especially if he can swing fine on the range, but reverts back to his old swing on the course.

Hopefully switching to a lefty will help him out.

Really enjoyable watching this guy commentate on the NBA...one of the few guys that isn't afraid to speak his mind, and be damn funny doing so..

But yeah, I saw one hole with him teeing off with one hand...just a bit unbelievable/stunning to watch...good luck to him. It would be nice to see another Golf Channel show with him, though.

Yeah, I'd like to see a Haney Project revisit where he tries to teach Chuck how to golf left-handed.

I don't know what it is about him and a golf course that gets into his head, but it's hard to watch him play. Good for him that he keeps playing though, really want to see him fix his problems because he is a nice guy and a great personality.

Its tough to watch him play because you really feel for the guy. Hopefully he can figure out whatever it is thats messing him up and find his game.
