Pinnacle Gold FX Long Distance ?

Uhhh ..... no, not the ball I use normally, but in planning to hold a kind of longdistance contest at our homecourse and surfing the internet on LDA etc. I found these ball to be used as the official ball ...... can imagine these to be the longest legal balls (I am not talking about the Pirate, Desperado or Condor S balls).

But allthough the FX Long Distance will be available at some shops, it is not listed at the Pinnacle website anymore.

Is the Pinnacle Gold Distance the same ball ?

I don't know but when I saw your thread title I had to chuckle a little bit. And chuckle in a good way. Along w/ the Top Flite gamer V2, I would put this ball second on my favorite "cheaper" ball list.

I happened to find one of these things during a "screw around" round and the dang thing actually was a decent ball for me. Like the Top Flite gamer V2 balls, this ball surprised the crap out of me based on what I was doing w/ it and how I was shooting it. Just my .02.

Nothing personal, but if I ask if golfball "A FX Long Distance" is the same as golfball "A Gold Distance" ..... I didn't expect answers like : ***golfball "B Gamer V2+" is second on my favourite "cheaper" ball list***

Nothing personal indeed. But if you have a thread titled after a golf ball, folks who might be interested in knowing something about it will click the thread to probably want some information on it. I shared some personal experience w/ the ball.

No they aren't really the same ball. I've played with both of them and find the Pinnacle Gold FX Long to be significantly farther. I used to play it all the time for my distance. Fantastic balls for long drive contests.
