Hi guys. Looking for some pointers on my swing. Most of the time I slice it pretty bad but its too the point where I just aim for the right side and hope it stays in play on the left! Let me know what you think.

That’s a great baseball swing…

And when I started playing golf that’s exactly how my swing appeared.

Start your downswing with a lateral hip slide (right side) – this will allow your hands to drop in the slot while maintaining the lag angle; and subsequently, help you get to a firm front side.

Of note: do yourself a favor and work on your grip (Google “Golf Grip”) before you ingrain a swing, i.e., your left hand looks a little funky to me.

maybe thats part of the problem. I go from playing in 2 baseball leagues during the week then squeeze in some golf where I can. Anyway thanks for the tips I'm playing in the morning and will work on it then.

Agree with the above posts. I would first check on your grip, it does look a bit weird, but it could just be the camera angle or what not. Your shoulders (body) definitely look open at address, so try and square those shoulders up so that they line up with your toe-line and target line. One thing you also REALLY want to do is shift that weight onto your front leg during the downsing. Your downswing should be starting from your hips, so work on sliding the hips to the right and rotating them, have the shoulders follow. What many baseball players have is an arm swing (which can work), but you usually want a whole body swing (hips, then shoulders, then arms). I also notice that your head may be swaying a bit on the backswing. Try and keep it pretty steady from address all the way though impact.

Cheers,
