I was using my putter, and I noticed that most of my putts would either go left of the pin, or right of the pin. So, I found out what I was doing. On my back swing, the putter head would move and it wouldn't be straight when I hit it. I found a technique, but some of you may know it. I would put my putter a little more diagonal and when I would hit it; I noticed that it went a lot more straight and when I hit the ball, I was hitting it with more of an open face on the putter. If you were having this problem, I hope it helped.

How open? If the putter toe was at 12 o'clock normally at address, where is it now?

Depends on the green.
I'd say maybe a 11 or 1; depending on whichever way to look at it.
The head of the club; the part's that closest to you should be pointed to your right foot basically.

Its pretty much individual when it comes to putting. Though i know one thing for sure. Keep the head still until you hit the ball. Make a stroke that is constant everytime that you know how the ball will react so you can get a good feel for the putt.

For me, i am pretty netural putter. I use a white ice blade putter, 35" length. I set up to the ball were the ball is a bit ahead of center. I take a stance were my back is not arched over, i lean over a bit more than my normal golf stance, so i can get overtop the ball. I keep my hands hanging straight down from my shoulders, i just rock my shoulder back and through and let the putter do its thing.

The only thing i concentrate on is making sure my elbows do not move, away from my body, this locks everything into place for me. There not touching my body, but its easier for me to focus on them than the hands.
