Clothes question: I just bought a Dryjoys Performance Fleece - what sold me was that it keeps you warm and is waterproof. I did not see that in any other fleece. Does anyone have this, and how does it perform? I just got this yesterday and have yet to experience it in play.

My favorite article of clothing has be to the Adidas cliamcool shirt. Most of the golf I play is during the summer, and the shirt works well.

Heard some people who like to look good even if their not , i totaly agree with that , i think look is pretty important on a golf course .

I wear a few brands on the golf course , always wearing pants , i just don't like shorts , and usually a polo , or a shirt ,

Im wearing Nike , Adiddas , Hugo Boss , Oakley , and off course J.Lindeberg
i must say that i dress a bit flashy , pink, lime green , white , orange , are mostly what i wear most of the time .

Does anybody know where I can find the Puma Golf Belt on-line? The Puma Site only has it in Yellow. It's the one Ogilvey wore at the US Open.

I wear pants, almost always, and shirts from the IZOD outlet that's about 90 minutes from here. Always ankle socks (the pants eliminate the super-white feet). Always a hat.

Anyone wear sunglasses when golfing? Personally I prefer a cap if the sun gets in my eyes. Don't know if it's just me, but it seems like atleast some sunglasses distorts my eyesight. Anyway, I have to wear eyeglasses to get a perfect vision and even sometimes just to keep track of the ball!

Nike Shoes SP-6. Titleist hats, Mizuno visors.

I forgot about hats. How could I have left off the most important accessory? My favorite is a Black Nike FlexFit Tiger Woods hat. It is a one size fits all that looks like a fitted hat. It has elastic that allows it to stretch and is made of DriFit material. I have a few other of this type of fitted hats. I also rotate in my Ryder Cup hats from Oakland Hills and my 2002 US Amateur hat from Oakland Hills. Tomorrow I will be wearing my Detroit Tigers fitted hat with the Old English D on the front.

On the subject of the Nike SP line. I bought a pair when they were first released three years ago. The guy who thought to take the insides of a running shoe and cover them with the outside of a classic golf shoe is a true genius. I have tried to wear regular saddle shoes in the past and always ended up with a huge blister. The problem was, I get to play a few rounds a year at upscale clubs where I usually wear nice golf pants. Golf pants and athletic style golf shoes don't mix too well.

I Have A Pair of trousers made for me 1 leg white 1 black like gary player had! love them!

Very nice. It's pretty wild to see what some of those guys wore is comming back. I think the colors and styles are great for the game. It doesn't have to be some stuffy old white guys setting the tone.

    • Congrats! Day 551, May 6, 2024 Played 18 holes with @DrizZzY hitting irons only and playing the white tees. No really "bad" shots, and a few really, really good ones. Finished on nine (they send us off 10 in May) with… a 197-yard 5I uphill and an 84-yard sand wedge to three feet.
    • Ahh the old classic "nobody agrees with me so I don't want to talk about it anymore"
    • @anaveragehacker, you’ve been ignorant this whole time and now you’re being disrespectful. Not a great combo. You asked what the rules were and we told you. You complained about them and we told you why they were the way they are. The “who is the committee?” Question has been answered a few times. Dave and I are Rules Officials and the other people replying know the rules far better than you, so the fact that we are all disagreeing with you should say something. this thread is going nowhere and your original question has been answered several times.
    • What is this committee I keep hearing about? We’re a small league playing at a county course. And these are temporary issues that may be gone in a day or two. In any case, I wish more people agreed with me. It seems that trying to convince golfers to modernize rules is like trying to change the Bible. You guys are so serious it kind of proves my point. Other sports make adjustments for  field conditions etc during lower level play. This isn’t life and death here, it’s sport. No need to keep arguing. I have my opinion and you have yours.
    • Yeah, I agree that some of the charts are hard to make sense of. That short game chart is showing how often a short game shot ends up within a certain distance. The orange bar is all shots, the green bar is for shots within 25 yards, and the blue bar is for shots between 25 and 50 yards. I just play around with all of it and will figure it out. I would suggest just diving in and see what jumps out and work on that.
