I compared Callaway X-Forged, Mizuno MP-62, MP-58 and MP-57 at the range, was looking for some forgiviness and a controlled fade. Problem with my i15 was that it is a great iron if you want straight shots or draws, but the tungsten weight at the toe closes the face at impact, making it difficult to hit an intended fade. I was looking to have the same control in my irons as in about my Vokeys.

I used to play Wilson Fluid Feel Blades and Mizuno TP in the past at hc 5, so I knew I wouldn't be punnished with either of the above.

But I also didn't want an iron that was very demanding, still looking for control and workabillity.

There wasn't much difference in the above, the Callaway was also nice, but I wanted Mizuno more.

Although the MP-62 looks about the same as the MP-57 it was slightly more demanding. The difference in feel and control with MP-58 and MP-57 were to close to call, but the price on the MP-57 was much better and maybe in future I might replace the PW with a Vokey 48 and or the 8-PW by MP-67/MP-68.

I was fitted on these, but the outcome was no surpise, DG S300, +1 inch, 2* upright, Midsize grip (with 1x extra tape) is my personal blueprint. Project X shafts were nice to, but I am used to the DG S300. Now I have to wait a few days ...... hope to get them mid next week, using them next weekend in a tournament...... disaster or ...... we'll see.

But now I will have to practice maybe a bit more, no problem ..... I like to practice !

So, so beautiful. I have tears in my eyes, that I don't have them. Best of luck. Hit them long and straight.
