Along with intermediate target, you can use alignment sticks when you practice, lined up parallel along the body alignment line and the swing-target line. You'll start seeing the sticks in your

when on the range i use the alignment stick as my intermediate target and practice hitting towards it 1-3 feet is too far away...you need something like 2-6 INCHES ahead of your ball I will often tee up with this intermediate target in mind, BEFORE i actually put the tee in the ground get an idea of where i want to end up, find my intermediate target on the ground to aim, then tee it up once i go through my pre-shot and step up to the ball, i dont even look up again eyes are 100% focused on that target and hitting over it i square up to this intermediate target, seperate feet and swing away
