Awesome that you took up the game in honor of your great grandfather. My grandmother was a single digit handicap. My father played in high school, but found other sports to focus on because he couldn't beat his own mother!

Keep it where the mowers go!

@jaybird-haha yeaa my greatgrandpa was the same way no one in my family wanted to keep it going cause they couldnt beat him when they were in their twenties but his skill has been passed to me somehow cause yesterday at the range i was told i have an amazing swing and that i have potential to go amatuer if not pro which i have no idea if he was blowing smoke but i would say im decent for only playing 4 months

@andymane-its a great forum i think you will enjoy it maybe i could get some tips from you sometime

anytime spencer! what area of houston do u play in? i play in the Humble and Woodlands area....

Keep it where the mowers go!

i actually live in atascosita i have only played at tour 18 cause i just got here and settled so i have only gotten to go to the driving range and tour 18 once

wow small world man, i grew up there! and my family still lives there, i currently live in China, been here for 4 years.....still make it home 2 or 3 times a year!!!

Keep it where the mowers go!

the company i worked for decided to expand internationally about 4 years ago, i moved over to help out, was only posed to be here for 1 year, but i love it here and am now pushing my 5th year!!! and yes they have some exceptional golf here!! there is a Gary Player course very near me, and several others less than an hour away....the neat thing about playing golf here is that no matter what course you play, you are assigned your own personal caddy.... at first i thought to my self " im gunna hate this, 12 years of golfing and ive never had a caddy, i dont need no stinkin' caddy!!!" boy was i wrong the guys/gals are exellent! within a few holes they got you pegged for club seletion and they know the greens like no1's business!!! needless to say i really enjoy golfing here!

Keep it where the mowers go!

dannnggg sounds amazing i wish i shot good enough for a caddie to know what clubs for me to use haha but i cant hit consistintly so i have a hard time my self figuring out which cluub to use haha only club i know for a fact and im dead accurate with is my 5 wood at 275

    • Day 159: did a stack session.
    • Day 84 - 2024-12-23 I hit balls for 20 minutes after lessons and after getting down a BodiTrak for resale. Hinge. Path was weirdly consistent today at 1.6° or so ± like 0.8° only.
    • Day 13: 12/23/2024 A lot more mirror work today. Using my same swing thought. Some slow motion, some full motion, some in between. Today I made sure I took every swing all the way to the finish.
    • Day 234 (23 Dec 24) - Mystery Monday - what to do today….pretty straight up as I spent time with the 58 and a series of pitches (lower flighted all the way up to high fliers over the tulip tree).  Wrapped up the day going lower ball with the 9i and easy bump and runs.  Again as always the setup was key - case in point, got lazy and casually set up, feet straight and promptly hit a couple of nice heely shots hard right.  Knew it immediately, as next couple I went through the routine and flew the balls promptly too the target point.  Setup - setup - setup…
