Our club is hosting an am-major next year and they want caddies for the kids.

Anyone ever done this? I know the course, like the back of my hand, but I'll basically get linked up with some stranger for a week.

If I say I want to be a caddy, what am I committing to?

THe US girls Junior championship. From what I have seen most of those kids bring a parent that caddies for them. For those that don't, you would pretty much just carry their clubs for them. Since you will not know much about the player you caddie for, there would be little need for you to do anything else. You are looking at giving up 6 hours for each round you caddie.
