Funny ... I play/practice 4 to 5 days a week, work hard on my game, and while I do not feel most days like I'm progressing like I'd like to, I just recalculated my handicap after 3 rounds this past week and it says I'm at 17.5.
Does it really just happen like that? 6 weeks ago I was a 21. Not sure what I expected .... Just seems weird that it's actually beginning to happen ...

Damn, I hope it happens like that! I've put some quality rounds together this past month, my goal is to get to 19 or better this year. I was down to 20.1 in the spring then it just ballooned to 21.8, had a terrible stretch going. It certainly can go down quick if you pushed off some higher scores from the calculated list. I still have some 96 and 95s being included in my calculation, I need to push those off badly.

      I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!

      I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
