Grip Problems

So I am starting to get more into golf, I used to only play a few times a year. I haven't played much all year but have been going to the range a lot lately to get ready for a neighborhood tournament. I have a pretty nasty pull hook on my irons right now and I think I have narrowed it down to primarily a problem with my grip, my swing might be contributing some too. So here is what I noticed today.

When I first grip the club I get my hands all lined up. I normally waggle the club a little bit to get a feel for it, take a practice swing or two and then line up for the shot. I have found that between first gripping the club, and even after waggling it, that the club has turned more closed. I look at my hands and they are not holding the grip in the same spot anymore, the club has spun in my hands ever so slightly. I use a 10 finger grip, I have tried interlocking or partial interlocking grips and it just feels off to me.

Any advice on how best to shore up my grip and keep me from closing the club face? I think this is one of the main contributing factors to my pull/hook right now.

yea, ditch the ten finger grip and get used to either overlap or interlock. its just a must imo. it will feel weird for sure at first but you have to work through that.

Re-grip the club before your final swing. This is a must for me, at least. If I've gripped it and taken a practice swing or two, it's not necessarily still lined up. I'm also planning on getting larger grips put on my clubs, since my grips are definitely too small for my hand size.

Where in Northern VA do you play? I play Prince William all the time, and yesterday I started taking lessons from the pro at Chantilly National.

if you want to change your grip, then one night get a club and just keep holding onto it with the new grip for the night while watching tv, it'll soon feel more comfortable

I normally play Fairfax Co. courses. I definitely plan on scheduling some lessons as soon as work slows up a bit more. Thanks for the advice on my grip guys, I like the idea of holding the club while I watch TV to get used to a new grip.
