I just checked the website for the practice ticket lottery information, and I felt like I stepped back into the 1940s.

You have to snail-mail a hand-written letter with your contact information just to receive information about the practice ticket lottery process.

I mean, I know the Masters is a bit stuffy and behind the times, but wow - let's get with the 20th century guys, let alone the 21st.

That's just how they do things. Their concession stand prices haven't been raised in like 30 years or something I think. Get a sandwich and drink for around $1.50 if I remember right. I don't mind the process. Probably cuts down on a lot of the BS spam they'd likely receive if I went to an online solution to take applications. You know you're only getting serious applicants when you require people to take time to fill out the info and mail it in. It's a one time thing too, you are on the list every year thereafter once you send it in once. Not something you have to do yearly or anything.

You'll have a ball. First time there brought tears to my eyes. Get your hotel reservations in right now, they fill up fast and be prepared to pay a premium. FWIW, we stayed twice at the "Sleep Inn" in Aiken. About 20 minutes away.
