During the winter months I was planning on having a shaft fitted for my driver. When driving, have just as many excellent drives as I do slices or hooks. I know a problem of mine is lifting my head before contact causing me to mishit the ball but I am also not sure if I have a swing flaw or not. Im sure its not perfect, who outside of a pro has a perfect swing anyway? My question is, is it worth getting a driver fitting without knowing if my swing is sound or not? I play often with many people and no one has ever said anything negative about my swing. What do you think?

I think you should get it to a point when you think its strong enough that it'll be worth it
AKA consistent enough that you know that the torque on that burner is messing your drives up
Like if you start throwing darts with your irons consistently and you have to baby oyur driver out to be in play... i'd get fit

Ping I3 + blade 3-pw
9.5 09 Burner with prolaunch red
Nickent 4dx driver

As JML has pointed out, unless you have a consistent swing, launch monitor numbers won't do you a whole lot of good. But I'm sure they would be very willing to take your money.Generally speaking, when one reaches a hc of around 12-13 the swing is getting pretty consistent.

This might be a stupid question but how do you develop a consistant swing? Is it simply muscle memory? If I'm teeeing off and I start to think about what I have to do I won't hit it flush. If I just say to myself you know what you have to do, now do it, I'm better off.

As posted earlier, generally speaking one gets a pretty consistent swing at 12-13 hc. So that means a lot of days on the course, at least it did for me.

The only thing to get you a consistent swing is play'n or going to the range; there aren't any short cuts, just plain old work, day in and day out, oh and I'd highly recommen lessons before you develop a lot of bad habits. Reminds me of the old story of a young boy and a very enlighten old man.
Young man, "Dear Sage, what did you do before you became enlighten?"
Old man, "I chopped wood and carried water".

I didn't expect any shortcuts. Believe me I used to play like once a month, now I'm up to once a week and the range every other. I was just wondering if there was any tips like have someone video my swing, watch it, tweek it and repeat?

Video's are very good with instruction and should help expedite things. I also think it is important to work on your tempo cuz IMO this will dictate rhythm, both of which are very important to a good golf swing.
