I have the same grips on my 58's and have felt they get a little slick if I am not wearing a glove at the range. Outside of the range I have not had any problems. I wipe down the grips anytime I clean the clubs, which may be why mine feel tackier. I do agree that they are not the tackiest, but for used clubs, mine sure did look brand new so I believe they will wear well.

Are you sure that you have the right size? If your hand is wears a xl glove you MAY need a larger grip. If too small it may feel that it is slipping. just a thought.

  • 1 year later...

I bought my MP-53's used about 3 months ago....and have played with them about 20 rounds.....no probs with the MP-21 grips...I use light soap and water to scrub them after 4-5 rounds.

This thread is almost two years old. Good to hear the grips are working for you now.

BTW, if you like the Mizuno original grips, you may love Iomic Sticky 2.3's in blue (looks like Kentucky blue to me). I love mine on my Mizunos.

Thanks,  I came across this thread searching for Mizuno so even though it's old, the info is still good.

I'll take a look at the Iomics

Careful. They are like crack. Once you try them, you'll be hooked.
