Seems like everybody raves about Matrix Ozik shaft. For me the price is way too steep for a shaft.

For owners, is this shaft really that good?
Do you gain any real consistency and distance?
Is worth is to spend more than $200 for this shaft?

If you get professionally fitted and it is the shaft for you, then yeh, i guess so. But obviously there is no point buying it if it is not the shaft for you. Some of the people with that shaft on GOLFWRX have pictures of it posted in the WITB thread, instant drooooooling if you are a club nut.

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/...updated-10210/ that link is the path to unfathomed club beauty. I have a problem.

The matrix ozik shaft comes in many models. There must be one that will fit my swing.

Sure, then get fitted if you want a matrix shaft. However, club fitters don't just fit for a specific shaft brand, they generally see your swing and analyse it or whatever they do, then they find the shaft to match your swing. It might not be a matrix ozik at all. I guess you could ask which matrix ozik is closest matching to your swing, but if they didn't suggest it in the first place, it wont be the best one for ya'.

I got fitted twice in 2006 and 2008. Back then Matrix Ozik is not well known by most clubmakers. Today they are like "Gucci".

My last driver had a Matrix Ozik Xcon6 in stiff, SST pured. I loved it, it is still my favorite driver shaft. I was almost ready to pull it out, but I got a nice offer on the driver and sold it as a whole, which still haunts me a bit. I occasionally find myself surfing ebay looking for pulls. The Fuji Rombax I have now is nice too, but it ain't no Xcon....

As for your questions...
1. In my case, yes, it was that good
2. I didn't really gain any distance over a couple of Fuji Speeders I had, but was definitely more consistent
3. Buy a pull, much cheaper

Two of the long ball hitters at my club use the Xcon6 in stiff. They are very good drivers and love the shaft in their Callaway Diablo tour drivers. I am speaking based on playing with them, and them having to wait for us on the tee because they can be extremely long.

I have the Matrix F7M2 in my driver, Altus for my 3&4 hybrids, and HM2 in a 16* hybrid and they are amazing.

But, they are only amazing because the characteristics of the shafts match my swing and desired ball flight/spin.
