Nice swing. Very one plane. You've got at least 6 inches of hip slide and you slide all the way to impact. Phenomenal job there. Get used to holding that follow through.

I'm surprised you aren't better than a 15 with that swing. I'm not qualified to tell you what to work on as it is, but I am going to guess short game :).

I think you would get more feedback with a slow motion high fps camera, but that's okay I'm sure some people on here can give you some good feedback anyway.

Could just be the camera angle but it also appears like you have a very closed stance. I'd try to straighten that out a bit by using an old shaft or club as a range stick (or...a range stick )

Stop at impact and look at how far off the ground your right heel is. Your right toes are barely on the ground.

Swing's a bit too long. Fortunately it's not by over-flexing the right elbow much, but shorter would give you more power/consistency.

Thanks....

yea my short game is definitely "above par" Hopefully I could get some more advice on my swing from some other people that could be a little more qualified to critique my swing. This is the best quality video I can make though. I'll see on my stance, propably was the angle...

Your problems are common to most golfers with your physical limitations, being so short, stocky, and inflexible.

Wait, I mean the opposite of that, good lord man. How tall are you?

The one thing I can pick out seems to be that your hips move in toward the ball significantly on the downswing. This might tend to make you a shanker. The one thing I've found that helped me break that habit is paying attention to having my weight over the middle of my feet at setup. If I had to guess, I'd say most of your weight is on your toes. Your body will unconsciously compensate for this in order to maintain balance during the athletic motion of the swing, and you don't want that.

Very nice swing as a starting point!

This came up in a lesson I took yesterday, and I agree with Iacas; work on your footwork through impact, trying to keep your right heel down a bit longer. Watch Zach Johnson as he swings if you can.

Note: After Impact

Also, what if you common miss, and where are your strokes most often?

Keep at it and eventually you'll be scratch. I suspect you're a 15 because 1.) you're probably about 89 pounds and 2.) that move you do from 7-9 seconds in the FO view is not good. If that's an indication of the feeling you're after during the swing, I suspect there are some mucho terrible shots sprinkled in your typical round.

I'll try on having my weight be for over the middle of my feet @ setup, as you said

I see what you mean by keeping the right foot on the ground as long as possible...will work on that.

Common misses are propably pulls mostly from the fairway (between tee and green)

If you miss is a left to right ball, that drill will help you keep the club from getting stuck behind you. Could very well bring you into the ball a bit more on plane and reduce the big left-to-right that can happen when long, skinny players (I too am tall and pretty skinny) get out of sync and too far inside on the downswing.

    • It’s not live on free to air tv in the UK, and hasn’t been since 1995. ( I pay a subscription to Sky for generally good golf coverage). There are limited highlights on the BBC for some golf events, but that’s it. Are other/all PGA events on NBC?  Allowing ticket scalping is a systemic failure across sports and showbiz, which could be legislated against, but in the UK is not in any meaningful way. I don’t know much about the secondary market in the US or anti scalping measures.  Charging more to keep prices down is an interesting concept, in practice no doubt you are right even if It sounds a bit Catch 22  Do you think sports tickets and broadcast rights  should be sold on a purely capitalist basis, or is there an argument to say that some sports might benefit more from wider exposure and affordable access. ( golf in the US is apparently not one of these if tickets sold out at those prices so quickly)  Fans might benefit from cheaper tickets and in the UK at least, TV coverage that reaches a wider audience.
