Instead of just playing a regular European Tour event - he choose to play a challenge tour event (comparable to the Nationwide Tour, just a lot less cash up for grabs) in Egypt. And after two rounds he even struggled to make the cut - so whats up with that?

I guess its called silly season for a reason?

I believe he agreed to play in it some time ago for promotional reasons. I assume it's to do with his sponsor Jumeirah. I believe they're a middle eastern hotel company. Strange that they'd ask him to play in such a small tournament but he's entitled to play wherever he wants I suppose. Not playing well at the moment and I think a few weeks rest away from Golf would be no harm.

He posted this pretty cool video on twitter this morning.

what type of swing changes? I'm guessing it's to do with trying not to dip his head in his downswing which is ruining his back, notice on that video tiger spuds posted his head is more stable than usual during his downswing

I´ve played golf in Egypt lots of times, but that is certainly the crappiest range i´ve seen so far
