When browsing the Golfsmith catalog, I notice that iron head is different in sizes. The measurement of an iron head size is called "Blade Length". What is the standard Blade
length that can be used as a comparison between irons? Eg: to compare Game improvement
irons with Players' iron.

I'm not aware of a standard blade length but you should know, unless you already do, that the shorter the blade length the more workable a club will be. This is due to the CG of the clubhead being closer to the hosel. Player's irons often have a smaller blade length than GI irons.

What is the standard Blade

Blade length viewed in isolation probably isn't a valid idea but a wild generalization might be something around 80 mm. Wishon pretty much stays between 78 mm and 82 mm on his designs while Maltby designs range from 78 mm to 93 mm so looking at blade length alone doesn't give insight into the overall design intent of the club.

Blade length has trade-offs. Wider blade length gives you more hitting area, BUT also makes club clunkier - more likely to hang up - when hitting out of the rough.

I know... If I stayed out of the rough it wouldn't be a problem!
