Just heard of this for the first time. Shaft stabilizers in wedges and putters. Weights is what it looks like that go in the end of the shaft. I am curious if anyone knows about this and it's effectiveness. Perhaps not as uncommon as I think, but I have never seen or heard of such an item. Looks like a slick kit, but I am uncertain of it's effectiveness. Wondering if anyone has heard of them or perhaps even used one themselves.

the technique they are trying to employ with these is called "back weighting", basically changing the swingweight of the club by making the but end about equal to the head weight. it is starting to come back into practice, jack nicklaus was big on back weighting in his day.

Thanks for the input. I also see that Tour Lock seems to be a popular choice. Less expensive than Balance Certified. Anyone familiar? I am interested in trying one in my putter and driver. Not really sure what to order. Something I am pretty ignorant to at the moment.

tim31x brings back memories of the early 1970s. I knew pros and clubsmiths who tried backweighting, mainly to help players with quick hands keep control of shots. Most backweighting I saw was in drivers or long irons.
