They are awesome! My wife bought me a set for christmas last year and I still love them. They are much mor forgiving than you would think and the feel off these clubs is incredible. This was my first set of blades and there has yet to be a round where I wish I was hitting any other irons. For better or worse, you know exactly what the ball is doing as soon as it leaves your clubface. They are definitely worth trying and if you don't like them, you will have no problem selling them!

I think people over estimate how "good" you need to be able to be to strike a blade, like it's the reserve of + handicappers and pros only. Try one... like the poster above said "for better or worse, you know exactly wat the ball is doing as soon as it leaves your club face", and you might surprise yourself.

The MP-53s have pocket cavities in the longer irons and progress to a muscle cavity in the shorter irons. You can also order a mixed set of 53s and 63s if you like.

I understand that but to refer back to the OP on the MP-68, I would be nice to have that type of blade from 8-PW, cavity in the mid and pocket cavites on the longer. Yes, the MP-53 progresses but I wish Mizuno would design a set that progresses all the way to a traditional balde. That's all I'm saying.

    • Going to go against the grain a bit here and say that pain isn't as severe as we think it is sometimes.  A lot of times if something has been there for a long time it is really neurological.  Unless a sports med tells you it's likely to tear I would keep going with physio until a doctor tells you not to.  Good luck
    • I just wanted to post an update here.. so the person telling me that information was incorrect. They mixed up two of the courses that we play during our competition rounds and the one we played last weekend was NOT a non-smoking course.  I was also wrong in thinking that he was a member of said club, but he wasn't.. he's a member of a completely different club in our tournament pool.   The course that we will play next weekend is the one with the strict smoking ban and they have stated this clearly in their local rules.  The main reason for this is that there is a very high risk of forest fires in the area where this course is located at, so it's not to promote "health and wellbeing", but purely based on safety.
