hahaha, as I speak right now Christy Kerr hit the green in reg than putted off the green into the hazard, took a drop, tried a flop which came back into the hazard again! Holy cow!!! hahahahah.... chipped over the green, chiped up on to the green with a spectator yelling for it to "go" (roll of the green into the hazard again), she ended up making an 8 after hitting green in regulation on par 3 17th!

quick note, she was -5 going into 17 and end up finished the day at +1 for the tournment.

I didn't see that hole, but I did see her make bogey on a reachable par-5. She chunked her bunker shot, duffed her chip, and two-putted for a cool bogey. Ouch.

Didn't sound like her best day but did sound like a typical day for me.

I saw that. That was a pretty incredible hole for her. Those are the times that you just want to pack up the bag and go home for the day.

Incidentally, they're playing on my home course. I'm pretty sure that I've never hit anything close to an 8 on that hole. That makes me feel a little better. Then again, if I shot +1 over three days on that course I would be ecstatic about it. Not the case with her.

But, that's why I haven't had any calls from sponsors.

They ever place the pin there for the locals?

I haven't ever seen it there for regular people. That's a pretty brutal placement. The greens are running MUCH faster than they do for "normal" play also. They're always fairly fast, but that was ridiculous.

    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
