well it has been about a month and a half since i first started my journey to 0.0
and my index has significantly gone up from 2.9 to 5.2
i didnt realize just how good a scratch golfer is until i started this quest

BUT...all things aside i do think i am capable of getting under par
My last two rounds were great to say the least
I posted my first nine under par @ a one under 35 but w a front nine +3
so, its coming

then yesterday I went out and shot +2 on the front w a dead even 36 on the back
I was one under until the 18th!! grrr!!! hahahah!!!

here is a pic of my tee shot on our 2nd hole, which was playing 168 yds, pin on the top tier zero wind

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

as you can see, this green did NOT winter well and is the worst green on the course right now
(this is my segway into why i missed the putt, if you cant tell!! hahaha!)
it released to about 2.5 ft (played a draw into the pin) and i missed comin home
u can actually see the chunk that it hit and missed left
but i was firing at pins all day, it felt great

my driving is still not great, but i have a new driver in the bag tomorrow (905T w a Graffaloy PL Axis RED)
let's see what this does i guess??? cause it the arrow not the indian, right???

if i can continue to get some rounds in like this, i can see it comin down soon again

Well off to the practice green w the ol RIFE and work on some putting

Stay tuned.....

I'd say putting is the main thing to work on.

Think of it this way, if you can sink only 5 more putts a round you'll be off scratch.

If the driver works out it'll have to shave a stroke or two off your game.

The weather's warming up and the scores are coming down. Good work! I'll probably sell all my clubs if I ever crack 80 and retire happy. It's been nice hearing that you've rebounded from the rough start.

Good luck moving forward!

It happens to a lot of us.....

Recently, I went on a 4 day, 22 man golf outing. During an afternoon scramble there was a 124 yard, Par 3. I stuck my 8 iron ....ball mark 18 inches directly in front of the hole, then the ball hopped over the edge of the hole and landed 4 inches above the cup. It did not hit the flag, but the ball mark & final resting place put the hole in between.

It was, as you said, "Almost a hole in one!"

The closest I have come since 1986, when I did have one.

Keep working on your game......the Key is the short game....the chips & putts; the up & downs.
