how do you mark your card.....?

my scorecard is for me only....
if I'm to keep score for the group
I use 2 cards....
I write allot of stuff on it.....
the top box it gets 2 marks.....
the 1st one is greens and the next is putts...
so if I miss the green in reg it gets an X
if its on in reg it gets an 0....
and putts 2 or 1 get an 0....
so hopefully all I see is 0-0

that way I can look back and see quickly my stats....
on the bottom half get notes....
sand...on in 2...chunked a chip...left a birdie putt short..ect..
par 3's guess how close to the pin....40ft or 6ft...
that way I know what I want to work on.......

later I can pull it out and its like reading shorthand
and see where my game was that day and if I choose
to work on something I will know which areas to do so.....

whats yours......

I have tried to mark other stuff on the card. Usually I get about 3-4 holes into it and then just forget. It's too much fun filling up the in between hole time by cracking jokes with your buddies.

I do usually mark the holes I three-putt on, though.

I track way too much data. I don't do the group unless it is my monday AM skins match. On weekends I will do my buddy but leave the other two regulars to do their own - just a familiarity thing.

I use Inteligolf on my pda, and track shot distance on nearly everything. For me it is valuable because I use it guide my next area of focus. I have been an engineer/engineering manager my whole life so indicators to me are critical to get feedback with.

thanks everyone for the reply's....

and I agree with turlock kid, its hard when you have a fun group to take time to mark your card, but when its like that then I make someone else in charge of the group card, that helps me to still be funny too ......lol

side note.....
I just noticed that aquacooled .....
your like the 1st person on here who use all the same clubs from one co. in your bag......nice
that is a rare thing these days....

i think marking the scorecard is an excellent way of improving your score as you know where shots are wasted, what areas you need help in, etc. i typically log down fairways hit, greens in regulation, and number of putts. it might seem weird to some, but i think for those who wish to improve (which is probably most of us), it's quite a helpful tool.

I made scorecards for all my courses on excel.
I have all the regular info par/yards/hdcp then added at the bottom the categories I like to track: Fairways,Gir,Putts,Sand/par-double.
I cut the scorecards to fit my leather scorecard holder.
They look just like the cards from the course without the pictures.
When I get home I enter the results in a spreadsheet I made up to analyze my game even breaking it down to specific courses.

I track fairways hit, GIR, and putts. Our group keeps individual cards and one member of the foursome keeps a group card as well. (we rotate the duty).

I am pleased to see how many folks keep track of stats I find that reviewing the round is an excellent way of planning a strategy for the next round.

Happy golfing everyone.

I may not be wording that well, but I'm basically saying… he might not have recognized he was a full-on police officer. It was dark, early, and confusing.
