With nearly every driver maker now making adjustable heads when do you think irons will be next? Do you think in time we will buy all our clubs in components; i.e. heads, shafts, grips? I think that would be cool. I bet TaylorMade or Callaway will be the first.

The stuff is already out there, the club fitters use it to fit you to a shaft then try different heads until you find what suits you, so I doubt it will be long before it becomes available.

5 Wood: Cobra S 9-1
7 Wood: Cobra S 9-1

Also do you think we will be able to just replace or head when a new years come out instead of the whole club?

It may already be here with Ping. Supposedly you can custom-order a vintage set for a premium price. Possibly they would sell you a single head also.

You can already do that with removing / replacing shafts.  Just takes more than a wrench and a high school diploma to be able to do it right.  I am a firm believer that any golfer that is serious about their game should go and get custom fit for irons.  I don't think we will ever see adjustable irons.  I think the drivers work because people like to see technology in their driver and adjustable drivers provide a false sense of technology.
