    • I love watching professionals play drivable par-4s.  Even Jordan's play, where he left himself 60 yards instead of going for the green (he hit an iron off the tee and was well short of the greenside bunkers), is better than the era.  Remember the conversations we used to have about Riviera's 10th and watching players decide layup vs going for it?  Of course, we have far more statistics available now than we did 15-20 years ago. Oooh!  Apparently I was accidentally half right, sort of, for something I had no way of knowing.  Scottie came up to the first tee as Rory was about to be called to it to begin his round.  That tee box is shared first and tenth, which makes me wonder how that works for member play (but the members probably aren't playing from today's tees, so it's probably nearly immaterial).
    • That makes more sense. 🙂 Scottie putted like a blind person yesterday.
    • I think this morning I misread Xander's name as Scotty's.  Still a good pairing and two players I enjoy watching!
    • This is on my TV now, and I haven't even followed any of the PGA Championship so far this year.   McIlroy and Scheffler paired and are near the top, that should be fun to watch.  Those two are quite capable of winning majors.
