Just wondering what anyone's thoughts are on it that have used it during a round?

  • ball flight
  • forgiveness
  • effectiveness of adjustability
  • gain/loss in distance over other (past/present) 3w

I tried it out on the range a couple of months ago, its a great looking club but not the best choice if you want it mainly for fairway use.  It was similar in distance and trajectory to my R9, maybe a little lower.  I lost more distance on off centre hits than the R9.  I never tried adjusting it, i prefer to keep everything neutral.

I tried it on the range and really liked it. Personally, I loved the look of the clubhead but was annoyed at the STR-8 fit hosel.

It was easy to work and compared in forgiveness to my 909 F2. Distance was about the same but this one had a lower launch angle so I found it harder to hit more up into the air.

I demo'd one, but it was a 13*, I like strong 3 woods. The club got the ball right up with a nice high trajectory for me, but I'm a high ball hitters to begin with. Distance was very good and almost as long as my 12.5* 3 wood. This isn't a good fw wood for a high hc'er; I didn't find it that forgiving, but performed very well with hits on the sweet spot. I'm not sure what you mean by "effectiveness of adjustability".
