My all time low going into this weekend was a 114.  On the same course that I had the 114 on, I shot 101 yesterday (if my putting hadn't of sucked so bad on the back nine, it would have been my first time breaking 100).  I made one change to my swing that greatly helped my consistency.  It may help some of the other very high handicappers.

On my backswing, in order to get a "lower plane", I was twisting my wrist during the back swing.  I wasn't able to get the timing right on twisting the wrist back through the downswing wich was causing me to hit a lot of pushes way to the right.  By twisting, I mean turning the right and left arm clockwise during the backswing.

I started playing with cocking the wrist as the first part of my backswing, and that kept the twisting out of it.  After a couple of range sessions of cocking the wrist first, I started to feel what the top of my backswing should feel like (wrist wise).  I then had a couple more range sessions where I left my wrist hinge naturally at the top, and it was amazing what a difference in ball striking that made.

If you're a very high handicapper and hit a lot of pushes, this might help you.
