Anyone ever play in a Pennsylvania Golf Association tournament?

Hey all,

So I was researching some Am golf tours in Pennsylvania and came across the PA golf association. I was wondering if anyone had an experience in playing any of these? Just looking for some thoughts, Hoping to expand my golf tournaments from the standard local scrambles, in hopes of maybe playing in some real stroke play tournaments.

Depending on where you live I used to play in the North Central PA Golf Association tournaments, google NCPGA. Now they used to have handicap tournaments but I'm not sure if they still do anymore. They draw a lot of good talent from the area and the tournaments are very competitive. If you are familiar with Jason Bohn (2 wins on the PGA tour) his brother has won several of the championships. The other option is to keep an eye out for invitational tournaments at local clubs those are usually decent stoke or match play tournaments to check out.

I play something very similar in IL. I'd say go for it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Nothing like playing true stroke play tournaments to make you better. Plus you'll meet a bunch of really cool like-minded golfers.
