I took a putting lesson a while back and the instructor told me I was too upright and on my heels, so he had me bend more at the waist and get my weight more on the balls of my feet.  This more bent stance put me in a better position to rotate my shoulders rather than rock them.

The problem with this new setup was I felt like my hands were too high for the putter I was using (Ping I Series Anser Black Dot), so I bent it from 70 degree lie angle to 65 degrees which is off the charts but I love it.  Now when I setup, my hands fall naturally to the grip and my forearms are in line with the putter shaft.

I was just wondering if anyone is using what would be considered an extremely flat putter.  It seems when I watch the pros on TV, they seem to be more bent over than us amateurs and the putters have more of a flat lie.

Just curious.

Mine is pretty flat, about 6 degrees flat. The great thing is that it's custom made (long story) so it wasn't bent flat, it was made that way, so if I want it flatter I still have room to go. I also have a lefty putter (another long story) than I have never measured but has to be at least 12 degrees flat. I tend to hold my hands really low though, so it's great.
