A while back I stumbled upon a Nike diagram that numbered the ball flights for the 8 settings of the STR8-Fit Dymo2.

I thought I had saved it in Bookmarks but I guess not...

Can anyone help me find it again? IT was a side by side description of the flights with the grip position shown below it. The shots were numbered 1-8. The #1 shot  was the the shot with the greatest fade. The #8 shot was the one with the greatest hook.  It was different than the wheel that I see on the Nike site currently. Actually the side by side was much easier to understand.

Two quick questions as well...

#1

Neutral with Upright lie vs. Neutral with Flat   Same swing... which was lower ball flight?

#2

If a use the STR8 slight fade setting this will decrease loft  11.5 to 10.5 right?

Since my swing can handle the 1* open will the lower loft pick me up distance?

In the past my logic was only a draw had the ball spin to pickup distance....thru roll.

Bottomline:

If I adjust to 1* Closed it adds  1* loft  (11.5 to 12.5) but draws

If I adjust to 1* Open it subtracts 1* loft (11.5 to 10.5) but fades

Which is more likely to add distance... Help?

thanks.

As for your questions, as said closing the face will increase the loft and opening the face will decrease the loft.

As for distance, this will vary due to conditions but as a general rule, most shots to the right will de shorter as will a lower shot (although a lower shot will be better in windy conditions) as it will have less carry, but may roll out longer on dry & firm fairways.

Depends on the person hitting the ball, but with me if I hit a ball left it always goes further.

    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
    • Day 23: Rained all day, so no ball hitting. Worked indoors on top of the backswing feel, and also putted around the living room working on bead.
    • Played Four Oaks in Dracut today going back to the 2 man scramble match play format. My brother and I shot a team 81 winning 3 and 2. Had so many good shots today using a more centered turn. Seems to have really iginited my golf game. We'll see if I can keep it going.
    • I read about him.  Hopefully we have a good “Next Generation” in PGAT future
