I've been playing for 18 months, I started shortly before my 35th birthday.  I played college baseball and have an athletic background. I tore up my left knee a number of years ago and have had a lot of mechanical issues since then.  It's hard for me to get my weight shifting and turning forward.  I recently took a lesson with a new teacher who pointed out immediately that this was happening and showed me the Gary Player walk through drill.  I strike the ball very clean when doing it.  My question is this, with my physical challenges the only way I've hit the ball clean is by walking through it.  I'm not concerned about my swing plane etc...I just want to strike the ball clean.  Is it "OK" to use this swing on the course or is there some rule or etiquette violation that would prohibit this?

Thanks!

I don't see a problem with using this drill on the golf course. I've seen people with much more weird swings then the walk through.

golf is a lot like life. the more you enjoy it, the better off you are. a3_biggrin.gif
