Played this course Saturday with my brother.  Was teamed up with another 2some, we had a tee time at 1:20 but they got us out at 12:20 what time did we finish the FRONT NINE?  @ 3:30!  It took 3 hours and 10 min to play 9 holes.  We paid for 18 but left after 9.  This course has their tee times set up every 9 min. and it was SO OVER CROWDED.  Guys I were playing with said on the weekend during the summer a 7-8 hour round is not uncommon!!!

The staff and customer service was great, but they need to space there tee times farther apart.  Word to the wise, you play this course get ready to wait cause it will take you forever.

I actually had a chance to play this course 2 years ago while i was in town for the AT&T; National at Congressional...experienced the same thing you did and my bestfriend and i did indeed finish in a shade less than 6 hours and 15 minutes. we did not stop at the turn, but drank over $45 in beers from the cart girl b/c we had nothing else to do. hopefully they figure it out, i kinda thought they would have by now but by the sounds of your experience...nope. sorry to hear that man, slow golf is shi**y golf.

I am so spoiled now I think 4.5 hours is much too long for a round. Most of my rounds are done in 3.5 or less. It would have to be Pebble Beach for me to sit through a 6 hour round.

I played a 6 hour round at Old Hickory in Woodbridge, VA on Sunday.  I think it was the longest round I have ever played.

    • Well, I have a 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and then play 6 iron onwards.  My best clubs are probably the 4 hybrid and the PW.  What I find is that loft is your friend in general which is why my 4 hybrid is so much better than my 2 hybrid.  Definitely disproportionately more so than the 5 or so degrees of difference in loft.  If you have hybrids, play them.  And consider loft as your friend.  Invariably you will get up to a loft where anything less will not get you more distance because of your club head speed.  Essentially the faster you swing the less lofted a club you can hit effectively.  For me it is probably a 4 hybrid and maybe a 7 iron though I could improve both with practice
    • Off to my home state of Massachusetts this morning. 9 this afternoon,  18 tomorrow,  and 18 on Saturday. Hoping for some good scores but will be just happy playing with good friends.
