I dont know if anyone on this forum has heard about this shaft yet, but if you havent you will. It was the first shaft on the market using nano technology and grafalloy has followed up with their version of nano in the Blue Comp NT. I hear that Aldilla is releasing one of their own later this year. The shaft plays stouter than its stated flex as a lot of guys with a swing speed of 105 mph+, are using it in r flex. I did a shaft profile on the evo, and while it does have a stiff profile to it, it offers great dispersion and a very nice feel. I generally swing at about 95-98 mph and the r flex worked great for me.
Fred Funk had this shaft put in one of his drivers down at the TPC on wednesday while he was playing a practice round with Chris Dimarco. Off the first tee, funk hit it down the middle and as far as demarco. The second tee he hit it down the middle and 10 yards farther than dimarco. He told accuflex's sales rep to get in touch with his people as he plans to put it into play soon. DiMarco was so impressed with funk out driving him, that he also plans to have Ping put one in his driver to try out.
This is just a heads up for you all on a really nice shaft to be on the look out for! By the way, you cant miss it. It changes color depending on how the sun light hits it. From red to gold to orange to yellow!

Thanks for the info, man. If you want to write that up into a story of sorts, we'd be happy to post it on the site.

Im curently using a Accuflex shaft in my driver. Awesome shaft and terrific feedback and has greatly reduced my ball spin.

    • Some people learn in different ways. I am a big visual learner. I like to see it, work with it, figure stuff out myself.  If people are upset, odds are they are not going to listen or be in the mental state to learn the facts. It might be something left as an email or meeting on a different day.
    • Okay, so… what do you want then? The explanations from both Dave and I are accurate. I find that the truth is generally the best explanation. Or, if everyone plays the same tees, just post the course handicap. If they're not dumbbells, give them the info. Educate them a little. They can take it — they're adults.

    • Telling guys who don't carry "official" handicaps, who have never even looked at the USGA website, that the number they see from the league is their "Index" and not really the number of strokes they get for any particular round and instead, it's the number used to calculate the number of strokes they get, it just makes their eyes glaze over and then they complain to me, "that doesn't make any sense." These are not dumbbells either. (Well, some are.) For the most part they run insurance agencies, they're accountants, doctors, lawyers, etc. I'm just trying to come up with the simplest explanation possible.   Maybe I'll just give them the formula and have them figure it out on their own so they know why their "handicap" was what it was on a round just completed and what it will be next week. Either that and just not mention anything about the "Index" and just give them their course handicaps, both for the current round and for the round that follows.
