Hey everyone, I am debating about getting a new driver this season. I see all the new ones out on Golf digest, but I am not looking to spend $400 for a driver. My golf game is pretty good, I haven't played in a year and before I stopped last season I was a handicap of a 8. This season just on the driving range I have been hitting my irons perfect, great ball striking. However with my driver I can not get in a comfortable groove like I did last year. I use to hit my drive 260yds, 240 flight with great roll. This year I am only hitting the driver like 210 with roll and they are not always straight. I want a club with a 10.5 loft I believe to get height on some of my drives. I just am looking for suggestions on drivers that are forgiving. So I can go test a few out. Thanks

Taz-

is there a clubfitter in your area?  that would be your best bet since they are not there to make a commission but to bring in more business through word of mouth.  a good clubfitter will have a larger knowledge base of head/shaft combinations that are proven.  if not then go to a demo day and buy the club that performs the best for you.  by that i don't mean buy one that is LIKE the one you hit best. i mean BUY THAT CLUB THAT YOU JUST HIT THE BEST AND MOST CONSISTENT!

good luck
