I am a semi-new golfer I don't have the money to play all the time. I carry in my bag a Driver, 5-Wood (which I hit well), 3-Wood, PW and irons from 3-9 as well as a pitching wedge. I don't hit my 3-Wood well and I was thinking about selling it. Does anybody have any ideas for another club for me to put in my bag that is somewhat cheap?

If you are talking about getting rid of a 3w completely and putting a different type club in the bag, I'd say go with a sand wedge since you don't say that you have one of those.  It should give you some more flexibility and help you out around the green and in bunkers.  Actually adding a GW and LW in addition to the SW wouldn't be a horrible idea.  On the cheap side there is a number of retailers that sell a 3 wedge set by Adams for $99... they are pretty decent wedges, probably not as good as a Vokey or Cleveland, but at 3 for less than the price of one of those they are a great value.

15 degree hybrid.  A sand wedge would be a good idea too.  I couldnt imagine being without a sand wedge.

When you say you don't hit your 3W well, what kind of shots are we talking about?  Is it ball flight and curve you don't like?  Are you having difficulty getting it off the ground?  And when are you hitting it?  What type of shots are you trying to accomplish that either your driver or 5W can't do in that situation?

Also, not all clubs are created equal.  You hit your 5W well.  What do you have for a 3W and 5W?

Also, if you have Driver, 3W, 5W, 3-P, Putter, you only have 12 clubs.  You can add two more before you have to remove your 3W.
