saw it at the flea market and looked it up when I got home. It's called a "Power Pod" by Orizaba. Anyone hit with one? Just curious. I also just saw one for $199 as a "Vintage Club" on ebay and another one for $14.99 with no bids :-D

It's not like it would go in my bag. I just wanted to know if anyone ever swung one for fun. I may offer $3 for it just to see what it hits like. Maybe a fun gag gift too.

it is a training tool to help people put power on thier shots but it also helps correct slices/hooks. i want one really bad and they actually work and are fun to hit. go for it

Actually used to hit this club back in the mid 80's.  I was 15 or 16 years old and my father won one in a tournament and I threw it in my bag and hit the thing farther and straighter than any club I had ever hit.  The head cracked during one round a year or two later.  It definitely wasn't a training aid as one poster mentioned, it was a legal useable club.

My father said he used one back when he was a kid too... Said it was the best club he has ever hit with in his life. He's bidding on it on Ebay as we speek.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
