Today, I went to a driving range in Ohio and 140balls cost 5 dollars, ha ha. However, I do not have my clubs, so I had to use the ones that were there. They were the oldest things I have ever seen. The 9 iron loft looked like a 4 iron loft and the 6 iron was as long as the 9 iron. They had the smallest sweet spot I have ever seen and were just very bad. I never realized how much of a difference a club could make. I could barely hit these clubs, and yet three days ago I shot a 78 with my taylormade irons and four days ago shot a 79. Could it be me or is it just the clubs?

If your posted HC is accurate, then it sounds like the issue was due to the irons used.  Any idea of the clubs' age or model?

$5 for 140 balls sound pretty good, based on local prices.   That must have a long and disappointing range session.
