I just found this place and decided to register. I don't play much, but, my wife wants me to get out there more. Who am I to argue? Looking forward to conversing.

Hey man, it's good to have you here. You will enjoy it here no doubt.

And you are a lucky man, take advantage of your wife's blessing to play more. My wife is pretty good about it, but I'm not sure she is pushing me to play more! You gotta love that.

See you around man.

Thanks. I'm more blessed than that. We took complete advantage of the tax laws this year and she insisted I take some of the money to replace my 23 year old clubs.

Hey Peter and welcome to the sand trap. My wife was good enough to get me a putter for Christmas and then let me splurge on another one shortly after that. At any rate, we've got a good thing going here and we welcome your input. Glad to have you on board.

How's the weather down there in Atlanta? Still raining?

Welcome to the forum, Peter. You are blessed to have a wife like that. I have a few buddies who get grief from their wives every time they play. The worst is the cell phone call every 30 minutes. That just makes me *#@$

It hasn't rained for a few hours. It's supposed rain some more but be OK tomorrow. It'll be very windy. Gusts up to 40 MPH. It'll be fun at Sugarloaf.

Tom,

I've gotten to the point I just turn off the cell on #1 and check messages when I finish. That phone had a thing for going off on my back swing.

I put down a new tile floor in the kitchen yesterday and told the wife it would be noon before I could step on it to install the last few cut pieces. She just smiled and said "It looks like you'd better go play golf in the morning while you wait" She's a good wife!

We try to play twilight golf together..less pressure (for HIM, hee, hee), more fun for both of us. But , when push comes to shove, husband needs to relax more than I do. HE likes to be the first one on the course..tees off at first dawn with his golf buddies. I like a nice 8:30AM tee time...

I guess we're both golf fanatics...

Stacy

Sincerely,
Stacy Solomon

By 8:30 AM I have had my morning cup of coffee and have wrapped up all important early morning business...anyway...
I love playing golf at twilight too...watching the sun set is as beautiful as watching it rise...

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
