I have a good swing but my game suffers due to inconsistency from this.  Somedays my set up is perfect and feels great and I can swing normal and good however other days off the bat my set up feels terrible and it throws my swing off resulting in bad shots.  I have a consistent pre shot routine however for some reason my shoulders always end up pointing right which really throws everything off.  Please can anyone help me with this problem.

I recently changed my routine from gripping the club then walking in and aiming the club to walking in aiming the club and then gripping but now its came back.  My routine is as follows and i do this every shot.

stand directly behind ball

picture shot etc

find a mark to aim over.

Walk into the ball set club down

aim it

grip it (  i think its this point here it goes wrong, they just drift of right)

then build up the rest of my stance around the clubhead.

I think  a common tip thrown around here is to find something about 10-20yds ahead that is on your target line. Aim at that rather than your target and it will be easier to obtain the desired angle/aim that you are looking for. I sometimes need to remind myself of this as I will tee up aiming far left just because my perception of where Im aiming and where I "think" im aiming are completely different.
