Ok so,

I am about a 6.4 handicap at the moment and I am going to say what my stats are per 18 holes and you tell me where you think I need work: I hit on average 12/18 GIR, and 65% fairways, My average tee shot goes about 250 carry and 265 with roll, I feel like I am hitting the ball great but I seem to always shoot like 77-79, not much variation. I get like 1 birdie a round and usually 2 putt every hole. I feel like I have bad feel around the greens like 30 yards and in because I don't get up and down as often as I should, but then my putting is bad as well, i don't feel like I will get better by just going to the green and hitting random puts, can you tell me a drill to make my putting improve? I need to make more putss under 20 feet and 2 putt from over 30 feet more often

The answer to this question is almost always "work on your short game". You say you don't have good feel around the greens and can't putt, then work on those things for 2-3 hours a week and your scores will drop.

Practice short game like your are playing.  I like to grab a wedge, my putter and 1 ball and try and make up and downs from a variety of situations within 20 yards.  I don't leave until I've made an 25 up and downs.

Putting pressure on yourself to sink putts during practice will translate to the course.

OK, here it is...hitting 12/18 greens should automatically put you at even par or better for 12 holes.  That leaves you six holes to get up and down on. If you can get u/d 50% of the time then you should be 3 over right around 75.  Throw in a birdie or two and you are now looking at a solid 2 handicap. I think you can see that the short game is what is holding you back based on the info you presented.

I really like that idea, i'm going to give it a try.  Seems like a great way to simulate some pressure on the putting green

+1

Practicing getting up and down is a lot better than separating the chipping and putting aspects of the short game.
