On page 66 of the latest issue of Golf Digest (June) is the "Mr. Style" section.  He supposedly knows something about what looks good on the golf course.  Anyway, the page features six pictures of a doofus leaping around in a selection of various clothing from high-end designers; everything from a blue Hugo Boss shirts ($115) with red pants ($175) and Stairway sneakers ($225),  even a green (?) golf glove ($35).  He really looks like a model that has never even seen a golf course.

On the facing page is an ad for Ashworth.  It just shows Freddy Couples in a classic striped sweater and slacks, holding a golf club. In the photo, he seems to be looking at the prancing idiot on the facing page, kind of bemused-like.

If there was ever a contrast in what denotes classic style, and what the pretenders think is stylish, this is it.  Don't know whether it was just serendipity for Ashworth to have their ad next to the "style" section, but I thought it was classic.
