Awhile back I posted about the comparison of the I(s) to the Pro V1.  After all the post and personal trials I decided to go with the Callaway.  My iron play has improved since I made the switch the only problem is now I am completely destroying the I(s).  The cover is literally peeling off the ball.  The question I am posting is, how do the two Callaway balls compare to one another and is one more durable than the other.  I love the I(s) and will continue to play them but not all the time.  What are your opinions?

If you want to stop tearing your ball apart, its time to get some wedges with conforming grooves. I used to play the XForged wedges with the MackDaddy grooves, and yeah, I feel your pain. One clean hit and and it looked as though the ball had gone against a cheese grater. I now have the Jaws with conforming grooves and that is nowhere near an issue. I can play the same ball for three rounds.

As far as which ball to play, s vs. z, I use course conditions as my determining factor. Mainly firmness of greens. z for soft greens, s for anything else.
