My R11 should be coming in the next few days and i really have no idea how to fit it with the ball path and what not. Ive tried to look around on the internet and see if its explained but havent found anything.

Does anyone know how or know of a place that explains it?

Here are some quick tips:

  • Determine if you want the "draw" or "neutral" ball flight. This is controlled by moving the weights in the back of the club. With the 10g weight in the heel you'll have more of a "draw" bias.
  • Next, determine if you want a higher or lower ball flight. You adjust this by changing the settings where the shaft connects with the hosel. Be careful with this - if you adjust for higher flight, the club face will appear more closed - and vice versa for for lowering the ball flight.
  • The sole-plate adjusting is only applicable if you ground your club at address. If you adjusted to achieve a higher ball flight by tuning the shaft, you should set the sole-plate to "open" if you ground your club. Vice versa if you adjusted for lower ball flight.

Your best bet is to head to your local golf shop and spend 30 minutes getting fit. They will analyze ball speed, launch angle and spin rate to make a recommendation on what settings fit you best.
