Please Construct a Set for me.

Hey there everyone. i dont golf too often. my clubs were stolen a couple of years ago.  however, i am now in business and need to start playing again.  I shoot about about low 80's. I play about 1 time per year, but this will be increasing.

I know this is next to no money, but i really hope that one of you can help me create a cheap set of  clubs given what i know about my game and what im wanting.

I am suspecting that i will have to buy used clubs, which is perfectly fine to me.  I'm pretty certain my swing speed is just over 100 around 110, but im not 100% certain of this.

1. Id like a set of irons from 4-pw ( I do not like chunky irons like callaway or nike slingshot.I like irons that have a very thin profile on the top and look like blades, however, they dont have to be blades(possibly cavity backs? i have no idea).  I'm thinking of irons that are "almost" blades, but not quite. )

2. id like a sandwedge and lobwedge of the same brand.

3. A driver that is 9.5 degrees or less

4. a utility club

5. a bag.

Please help me out.  I know this is quite a task, but id really appreciate it as i have no direction and know minimal on the topic of clubs these days. Thanks a ton.

Not to flame or anything, but you play once a year and shoot low 80's with a 1 handicap? Something doesn't add up correctly man, once again not trying to be a troll or a flamer, but if you want to ask for advice, you don't have to hide behind a veil, we are all golfers here.  In respect to your question, I'd say head to your local golf store and ask to demo some irons, everybody thinks their own way and sees things differently, so an iron that looks the way you described to one person might look completely different to you, and if your clubs were stolen years ago, it might not hurt to play game improvement irons to get back in the game, you don't want to quit because you can't play your clubs as well as you would like. I don't have a 1 handicap. I don't know what my handicap is.  I'm not hiding anything. I used to be competitive at a young age till 7th grade or so playing often and then i quite in 8th grade. ive played like 1 or 2 x a year since on average and seem to always score exactly where i left off mid to low 80's. I can't go hit a million clubs.  Even if i did, i wouldnt know if they were somewhat good for me.  I know this isn't the perfect way to put clubs together, but i have to do it this way. Im extremely busy and when i try to research things i tend to go nuts and i want to keep this quick and simple and follow a set of guidelines that i made for myself while using other players expertise. You don't have to hit the clubs just ask the pro to pull one of the irons off of the rack so you can see how it looks at address. Then when you know which looks you like, try to find a demo day on a non busy day. At least then you will know what clubs you want to hit.

I know this is the Club forum, but if you've been away for a couple of years you might want to take a tune-up lesson. And, find out what your clubhead speed is. Go to a golf shop that has a Trackman or similar launch monitor, and get data on your swingspeed and shot trajectory. This will help you decide what shafts would work for you. The shaft is the "engine of the club," and it's just as important as getting the right clubhead model. A shaft that is too stiff won't bend enough and works against you, and a shaft too soft causes you control problems. You might want to get a static fitting , a basic fitting which makes sure the clubs are proper length and lie angle for your build and stance. In the future you could get a more detailed fitting after your swing comes back and stabilizes. As GoBlue96 suggested, you might want to buy some (used) game improvement clubs your first season back in. Then, you can build a long-term set as your swing comes back, and you decide what kind of game you want. For wedges, get fitted on them too. Hit possible wedges off a lie board to determine how much bounce you need in the heads. Note: For HDCP Index, just put in NA - not available - for the time being. People will understand.

Thank you.Swingspeed is 109. Any good places to buy chea used irn.s that won't need new shafts or grips? I definitely can't afford custom clubsat the time.

Most golf shops have some trade-in irons they would like to get off the floor. Just look for a set you like, which has the right shaft for your swing. Try them out. That would get you through the first one or two seasons until your swing gets grooved.

If you will be playing for business, used name-brand clubs will do it w/o you having to pay full price. If you find decent clubs that need new grips, regrips for irons should cost less than $50.

As you get back in, I would suggest irons 5-PW, a sand wedge, a putter, and a Driver, 4Wood and 3 hybrid. Eleven clubs will be plenty for your reentry seasons.
