shaft question

i have an old harrison pro 2.5 FL Lite 50" driver shaft and I think it is a 2005 model. It is pale yellow in color. Does anyone have any comments regarding it, and if so, how do you think it compares to the project x 6.0. I have the harrison in an old bang driver head and the project x in a ping i15. i seem to hit them both ok, but i havent had enough time to really test them together. i have a tournament this weekend and am trying to decide which one to go with. i hit them both straight so i am mostly concerned the distance aspect, and taking the heads out of the equation.....which is the better shaft

USGA limited drive head to longer shaft 48" inches max.    you can't over more than 48' inches with head and lenght shaft longer.

if you enter world of the champion longest drive.  fine.    you can't enter on tournament golf

i guess i should clarify that i am playing in a scramble.......as you know many of the rules go out the window. i checked and as long as the clubhead conforms i am fine. i havent hit the bang on the course in awhile and was just wondering how it compared to newer technology.......i know in golf 6 years is a lifetime.....and frankly, i have been out of the loop.
