I purchased this driver a few weeks ago. I seem to hit a major slice with this driver but I hit all of my previous drivers straight (Ping G10, Taylormade R9)? What may be the problem?

Post a video of your swing if you can.

Different drivers will have differing lengths, overall weights, swing weights, flex characteristics, etc...

Did you hit this driver before you bought it?

i bought (at a great price) a superfast and then got rid of it after 2 rounds. if you check the length you will probably find it an inch and a half longer then your previous driver. some people have no problem with this but it just didn't work for my swing.

Okay, i help you. your drivers straight (Ping G10, Taylormade R9)  are same loft and flex?

I stick to 8.5 loft driver all time. I have three different driver tour are all same loft. I dislike mix number loft on drivers.

However about a graphite shaft is very tough job. Which is best graphite match for your swing? from (Ping G10, Taylormade R9)

Unfortunately, I do not get all my drivers fitted as my local pro shops do not "custom fit" shafts, weights etc.. I use the stock shafts that come with the drivers. May this be the problem?

What flex is the shaft and what is your swing speed?  The Superfast 2.0 might be a bit longer than your other drivers as well.  Even though pro shops don't have demo's they will sometimes wrap the head to protect it and allow you to hit one off the rack.

Along with the playing length being longer and flex, the loft could be off too.  Did you change advertised lofts, or stay the same?  It's not uncommon for a head to be labeled one loft number, only to be measured at 1°-2° off, or even more.  For a lot of folks, the flatter the club face, the more prone they are to slicing the ball.

TM adds distance by making the club longer, Being not so tall can make you slice with a longer club. Also it can be a different weighted shaft. Lot of things change in drivers. Head to the range and try choking down a little bit and see if that helps, if it does you can go and cut it down an inch or two and your good to go.

Cut mine down 11/2 and still slices bad but has reg. flex shaft. My stiff shaft Calloway goes straight.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
