The combination of these 4 video's in this order is what I recommend for all beginners of Golf. It starts with your grip, your setup, your finish, and the walk through drill. For many of you, you have probably already seen these video's but it is the foundation of my beginners instruction (aside from equipment evaluation).

If you know any beginners, I highly recommend you show them these things to get them started. It would also be a good refresher course for those of you who have started to loose your swing.

Again, these are the basic steps I take all my beginners through.

Just as an example, there was a heavy set lady I met on the range who was waiting for her husband to get done playing last weekend. It was her first time ever picking up a set of clubs and she just got them for Christmas.

I took her through these simple four things in literally 15 minutes. Within another 15 minutes after that she was hitting her pitching wedge over 100 yards with ease and control.

Equipment, Setup, Finish, Balance, and Relax. All equal in importance and all dependent on each other. They are the cornerstones of a good golf swing.

Great Thread....
I always enjoy the different ways people put the fundamentals to work. The walk thru video made a lot of sense. I am a pretty good golfer, I think, but at times I have a tendacy to finish left (hit left) of my target. I am going to try this next time to get me in sync. It makes a lot of sense and seems really easy to apply. When I do it, I know it and it usually takes me a few swings to correct it. Hopefully, this will correct it faster and I can start aiming down the line quicker. I am a fan of mid-round quick fixes.
